Today is Day 1 of my Behind Closed Doors, a collection of unusual poems blog tour. This post features a metaphorical poem called Contrasting Colours. Thank you for hosting, Kaye Lynne Booth.
To kick off the WordCrafter Behind Closed Doors Book Blog Tour today, we have a guest post by author and poet, Robbie Cheadle. In addition to being an author and poet, Robbie is a wife and mother of two boys, which shine through in her poetry. I always find Robbie’s poetry fun and heartwarming, and her fondant masterpieces are delightful. Today’s post discusses the inspiration by one of the poems in her newly released collection of unusual poems, Behind Closed Doors. I hope you will follow the tour this week, with a different guest post from Robbie at each blog stop, it should prove to be quite interesting. Join us to learn more about this fascinating lady and her poetry.

Thank you, Jacqui. Did you see my pictures of Lucy, Little Foot and Mrs Ples? I tagged you on Instagram.

I know all of those characters except Little Foot. I missed them. I don’t use Instagram much. I’m off to check your Instagram account.

I just finished this, Robbie, and will be posting my 5-star review today on Amazon and Goodreads. What a wonderful book of poetry. Well done.

Hi Diana, thank you, I am so pleased you enjoyed these poems. I always worry a bit about how poetry will be received by readers, so much is left to individual interpretation. I am reading Sarah Brenton’s anthology which is really very beautiful, and then I have your new book which I am looking forward to.

Thanks Robbie. It’s true about individual interpretation with poetry. Perhaps because I used to work in a stressful corporate business, I could deeply relate to your poems in this one. Plus, the pandemic… we’ve all been through that.

Thank you for your support, Kamal. How is your writing coming along. I remember your son advised you to wait and not publish during the pandemic.

Yes Robbie I too am writing my short stories and another book called Zuma the Wanderer but my son is saying you wait till everything settles say by this year end and then to meet a publisher and get both the books published by next year. You are always welcome dear Robbie. Love and light to you ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
