Like everyone else, the pandemic and related lockdowns had a huge impact on my life. The biggest was having to adjust to working from home all the time and having my sons schooling from home.

In the beginning, colleagues went a bit mad with Zoom meetings and we had back-to-back meetings every day. So many, in fact, it made getting any proper work done virtually impossible. At the same time, there was absolutely no home help at all available with everything closed and the boys had to be monitored and attendance of their daily lessons ensured.

People quickly learned the to much Zoom resulted in desperation and gloom. People became irritable and snappy from the lack of normal exercise and sitting in on-line meetings for 8 or 9 hours a day, and the kids became depressed and despondent with their virtual classrooms.
