I was nominated by my blogging friends Darlene Foster and Carol Taylor and to post one favourite travel picture a day for ten days without explanation, then to nominate someone else to participate. That’s 10 days, 10 travel pictures, and 10 nominations. It doesn´t have to be 10 consecutive days. Thanks, Carol and Darlene!
I’ll tell you where this is tomorrow.
I nominate Smitha V from Eúnoia. Smitha has a lovely blog where she shares lovely poems, travel accounts, and her own beautiful paintings.
So glad you are doing this. This beach looks wonderful.

I’d love to be sitting in the sun at the beach. It’s freezing in our area. 🙂

Yes, I believe it is snowing in many parts of the USA, Gwen. It is hot here, but not as hot as usual. we are getting a lot of rain this year. It is quite astonishing how green and lush everything is.

Our weather has been cooler this year as we’ve had a lot of rain. I am grateful to not have temperatures in the high 30’s and low 40s, but I am also glad it is warm.

Hi Liz, yes, Richards Bay was a great place to visit. Now that I know about its connection to the Anglo-Zulu wars which I am currently researching, I am even more interested in it.

It does look like that. They are rather weird but quite common in South African harbours.

I looked up dolosse – very interesting. We had visited a lighthouse in New Jersey a couple of years ago that had to be moved because of eroding beach area. And while not as unique as dolosse, concrete breakwater walls as well as a pathway was created to hold the water at bay. There was also a memorial to sailors that were lost at sea.
I couldn’t find my photo of it, but I send you an email with more bugs. 😀 🦟🦗🐛

Fascinating place, place, Robbie! Who thought of creating those structures? I love the photos of the boys.

Thank you, Jennie. Happy days. These structures are a local idea and help prevent erosion of the beaches. They are very clever.
