    1. Fear and indecision plague a lot of us, Kim, for different reasons. My physiotherapist told me today that a lot of South Africans are suffering from PTSD due to crime and the economic fallout of the corruption and now, load shedding.

    1. Unfortunately, Olga, the power situation is again under strain and we have on-going load shedding. It doesn’t effect my family directly as we have generators at home and at work, but we are the lucky ones. Most people sit in the dark when the power is off.

    1. It is sad, Elizabeth. There is a lot of disillusionment and young people struggle with feelings of inadequacy due to an inferior education system which doesn’t prepare them for coping in a work situation. There is huge unemployment and the current power crisis is adding to the country’s economic woes. All round, a bad situation for everyone. We also have a massive brain drain going on which means that the jobs that are available are often filled with people who don’t have the necessary skill set or just can’t be filled at all. Another blow to economic growth.
