4 Non-fictions by Indie Authors

A lovely post featuring a review of Sir Chocolate and the sugar dough bees along with the reviews of three other amazing sounding books. Thank you Jacqui Murray!

My writing PLN (professional Learning Network) pretty much revolves around blogs and the authors who share their insights and advice through the online blogs. When I have a question, I often go there first, before digging through my shelves of self-help writing books. Along the way, I’ve read many of their books. Here, I want to share several non-fiction books that I’ve particularly enjoyed and think you might too.

  • Do You Have a Dream? 140 Insights to Building Confidence, Overcoming Stress, and Loving Yourself
  • Why are There Bullies and What Can You Do About Them— an interactive Q&A about bullying and its solutions
  • Sir Chocolate and the Sugar Dough Bees Story and Cookbook — a clever blend of baking and reading. This is one of several Robby Cheadle and his family have written
  • Facing Cancer as a Friend — strategies for talking to a friend who has cancer

  1. So happy to see this review, Robbie – and the other books peak my interest as well. I’ll probably have to do NOTHING but read for the last few years of my life to get through my long and lengthening TBR list, so I sure hope the folks that swear we reincarnate turn out to be right! 🙂

I must do SO much science reading to keep up with my field that I have precious little time to read much of anything else – which reminds me to get offline and finish the book for my monthly book group meeting on Monday. We’re [supposed to be] reading Sleeping Giants (a fictionalized account of a scientific hunt to explain the finding of a giant hand).

I wish I were able to add book reviews to my site, but I’m barely able to keep up as it is. Jacqui is amazing.
    xx,
