Robbie’s Inspiration – Book blog tour: Re-Create & Celebrate by Cindy Georgakas

Today, I am delighted to host Cindy Georgakas for the launch of her inaugural non-fiction self-help book and memoir, Re-Create & Celebrate available on amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/Re-Create-Celebrate-Steps-Dreams-Reality/dp/1739404416

About Re-Create & Celebrate: 7 Steps to turn your Dreams into Reality

In this unique book, Cindy guides her readers through simple steps to achieve the life they have always dreamed of. Not simply life goals, but a whole new outlook and way of living. Through her transformational techniques and practices, which she has gained from decades of experience in the field of life coaching, she provides a teaching memoir and workbook containing the tools to build a blueprint to a life of fulfillment, inner peace and happiness.

“It is not always easy to trust ourselves, to venture out of our comfort zones, and go for our dreams, however, Cindy Georgakas has successfully done this in an eloquent way.”—Dr. Chérie Carter-Scott, New York Times Bestselling Author of If Life is a Game, These are the Rules

“As a memoir, the book is a testament to the power of positivity in our lives. There is resilience, hope, and healing.”—Gabriela Marie Milton, Author, Editor, Publisher

“An inspiring book of anecdotes and ideas for personal exploration and growth. Positive, uplifting, and wholly possible. Highly recommended.” —D. Wallace Peach, Bestselling Author of Catling’s Bane

My review

I am not a frequent reader of self help books but I have been following Cindy Georgakas’s lovely blog for some time now and I knew she had some excellent life experiences to share and advice to give so I decided to read the book.

After all, in this modern age of endless fake and bad news in the media, fast change, and whirlwind lifestyles, who doesn’t need good advice about how to feel happy and achieve your personal dreams.

This book is certainly a great aid to believing in your abilities and setting goals. There is detailed guidance on how to go about understanding who you are, how you can set about understanding where you want to be in life, and how to get there.

One of the core messages in this book which is repeated in each section, is self care. A lot of parents, especially mothers, give and give to their families, while holding down full time jobs and running a home. This is an awful lot to juggle and can lead to not taking any time out for yourself, especially when children are young and dependent.

The author reinforces the point that if we don’t look after ourselves, we won’t be in good health and of the right mental state to care for our dependents as well as we could. I know from my own personal experience that this is true and we have to take care of ourselves, especially during times of illness and crisis with our loved ones.

This is a book readers can keep at their side and dip back into during times of need and when a mental boost and some good advice are needed.

Hats off to Cindy Georgakas and this beautiful and useful book.

  1. Thank you so very much for this incredible review Robbie. I’m so honored by your words and support and sharing it with your beloved followers. I’m happy to say it is #10 New Release in the Happiness category which I hear is a pretty tough category. I don’t like self help books either, ha ha.. 💗 But am all about self care. Thanks again.

    1. Hi Cindy, apologies if I used the wrong word for your book. I don’t read much in this sort of genre and didn’t know there was a Happiness category. That is very nice and I am delighted your book is doing so well. Huge congratulations.

      1. NOT AT ALL!! That is truly what everyone calls it. I’m just letting you know and I didn’t even know there was a happiness category but that was a great surprise to find out about. Thanks so much again and I’m posting soon.. I just was unclear if I should reblog or just share which is what I’m going to do. I couldn’t be more grateful to you!! 💗

  2. Hello, kind people— Robbie, and lovely audience. Thanks for this review. I’m already sold on this one. It’s TheBook to get. I already got mine 😀 and excited I read. And have even submitted my review to Amazon.
I have a few books to get through, but with the launch happening and all I had to get in the action and read. Made me live the excitement with Cindy.
Thanks again for your lovely review. Blessings on your new week. 👏 💗

  4. Hi Robbie, excellent review. I got my book on Saturday and am at the 96% point even with taking extensive notes and doing the exercises. Fabulous. As a result of using one of her life hacks I just finished walking 20,000 steps in one day, a new personal record (and it’s only 5:20 pm). It is an inspiring book – and it does help with self, so I think it could qualify for more than one genre. BTW, congratulations on your new book. I’ll be ordering it soon.

Now that is a wonderful testimonial and I’m so impressed you are actually doing the steps! That is what it takes and you’re doing it.! Congrats. I think you’re right about the genres being in different places. Oh yay.. Lion Scream is a great book!

  5. Wonderful review, Robbie. I, too, don’t read self-help books but I have put Cindy’s book on my TBR. I read one of the comments here of someone having walked 20,000 steps, after reading the book. That’s inspiring. I’m looking forward to reading it and being inspired to make positive changes in my life.

  7. Like you, I rarely read self help books, Robbie, but occasionally I’ll come across one. You’re very right about moms – they usually put themselves last. You can’t take care of your family if you run yourself ragged. Congrats to Cindy on the new release and the review!
