I am ‘on the shelf’ with Nonnie Jules, captain of the RRBC ship, with a really interesting interview. Nonnie is very good at asking questions that make you think very hard. Do pop over and visit me there and learn a bit more about Rave Reviews Book Club while you are there.
Hello, and welcome to “WHO’S ON THE SHELF?” with yours truly, Nonnie Jules! Since we are a book club, you know we had to offer something that included a bookshelf. A lot of interviews merely cover an author’s work or an individual’s career stories. Here on this “SHELF,” we get down and dirty and ask the questions no other interviewer dare ask. We ask the questions that you want to open up a book and find the answers to on your favorite authors and fellow book club members, but, no one has dared to cover them. We get personal! Because, when you sit on this “SHELF,” YOU are an open book! Even if I have to pry you open!
Today, we have a very special guest on the SHELF with us, RRBC member and our March “SPOTLIGHT” Author,ROBBIE CHEADLE!
NJ: Before we get started, are you comfy? …

What a great interview, Robbie. I enjoyed learning more about you. I laughed at your comment about Oliva Newton-John. I wanted to be her, too! 🙂

I imagine there were not many young girls who didn’t want to be just like Olivia Newton-John, Jill. Thanks for visiting.

Such an interesting conversation. I’ll have to re-read the whole thing.
P.S. I wanted to be John Travolta!! (I love dancing.)

Hi Elizabeth, I really liked John Travolta too. I was in awe of his dancing. I loved your book and am looking forward to sharing it on Treasuring Poetry this month.

I left a comment over there, and shared this post on Twitter.
Is your Boer War book available now? I haven’t seen a buying link. (Might be me not concentrating) If so, please send me one.
Best wishes, Pete.

Hi Pete, it is available in the UK from Lulu as an ebook or as a paperback from TSL books. It is on Amazon as a paperback and should be available as an ebook on Amazon soon. Amazon does things in there own time. Lots of people prefer to buy from Amazon which is why I haven’t done a lot of advertising yet. Thanks for your interest.

Okay. I will probably wait for the Kindle version on Amazon. I have no more room for ‘real’ books, sadly. 🙂

I suspect you are excellent at accounting, Robbie, but if not that, you would have a huge career in marketing. You are amazing how much you get out there.

Hi Jacqui, I am a very good accountant but, sadly, it is not emotionally or spiritually fulfilling for me which is why I write. I am very lucky as I often get invited to guest post for various bloggers. I enjoy guest posting and find writing for other peoples blogs inspires me to greater blog post heights. It keeps my blogging life interesting for me and, hopefully, for my readers too.

I would love for you to join me as a guest on WordDreams. Would that work for you? Something about balancing all of your multiple genres or writing with your son or ????

Hi Jacqui, that does sound lovely. I was waiting for A Ghost and HIs Gold to appear on Amazon and the paperback is now there so the ebook should follow soon. I’ll prepare something and email you. Thank you very much.

Thank you, Michael. The lockdowns don’t bother me that much – I have so many things to fill up my time. I hope you enjoy the interview.

I loved the comment about your kids taking over the house and you going to the cottage your parents now occupy. I think she asked particularly good questions to get such thorough answers. I learned even more about you through your interactions with her.

HI Elizabeth, Nonnie does ask very good questions. I have to really think about some of them to give an honest answer. My son, Michael, is hilarious. He is such a lovely young man and wants everyone in our family to be together forever.
