I was nominated by my blogging friends Darlene Foster and Carol Taylor and to post one favourite travel picture a day for ten days without explanation, then to nominate someone else to participate. That’s 10 days, 10 travel pictures, and 10 nominations. It doesn´t have to be 10 consecutive days. Thanks, Carol and Darlene!
My day 3 post which you can find here: https://robbiesinspiration.wordpress.com/2021/01/19/travel-challenge-day-3/ depicted scenery from our trip to Golden Gate Highlands National Park in the Free State province of South Africa. If you would like to read more about this park, you can do so here: https://www.sanparks.org/parks/golden_gate/.

It is beautiful, Carol. That is why people don’t want to leave despite the crime and other problems.

Gorgeous shots, Robbie. I don’t think I would have been able to stand at the overlook. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you, Jill. I was okay because of the railing and fencing, I am not a great lover of heights.

Thank you, Michael. My oldest son returns to school on Monday, 1 Feb. The younger one will still be at home but it’s progress. Have a fabulous Thursday.

Great news. So you will have a little bit more time, and only one “homeschooling target”. 😉 I hope the virus will leave asap, and we all will have a much more better future. Thank you, Robbie! Have a wonderful Thursday too! Michael

Thank you, LIz. My boys were both a bit tubby then. You should see them now, tall and thin.

I noticed, but was too polite to mention it. 😉 I went through a bit of a prepubescent tubby phase as well.

It was cloudy on the first day so we went back and took the other pictures on our third day. It was pretty with the cloud.

your travelling around right now Robbie or were these taken in the past?

Hi Wayne, these were taken a few years ago. My boys are young [and a bit tubby] in these pictures. They are now much taller and slimmer. We did go away for three days after New Year to a remote and rural part of the country. We hardly saw anyone at all. That’s been it though for ages.

Such a dramatic landscape, Robbie. I don’t know why, but I always think of S. Africa as flat (probably the influence of television). Wow, was I wrong. Beautiful country.

That is interesting, Diana. South Africa is not flat at all. There are a number of mountain ranges and there is a lot of beautiful and amazing countryside.

I know, but it still surprises me to see it. So odd. Too many safari movies, I think. When my mom first came to the US from Europe, she landed in New York and was so disappointed that she didn’t see any cowboys. Lol. I guess it runs in the family.
