Tracks heading away
Endless opportunities
At their distant end
But lush green surrounds lend hope
To my current position

I do too, Annette. When I was little, my sister and I used to stand under the bridge and listen to the train going over. It was thrilling.

Robbie, this looks like the abandoned railroad track on Bermuda…it runs the length of the entire island and was used to transport food and supplies from America to Europe during the Second World War…it is now a gorgeous walking path through the center of the island…I walked it!

You have done such great things, John. I have not been there but would also be fascinated by an abandoned and historical railway track. I really hope this pandemic ends soon and we can start travelling again. I missed out on Poland this year and our trip to the UK. I am desperate to see the medieval kitchen at Glastonbury Abbey.

Yes, we are also so eager to travel again, and are planning our Santorini trip again, with a trip to French vineyards as well…let’s hope the world can get its act together to solve this health crisis…

I like the contrast between the far away opportunities and the lush green at home.

Hi Frank, yes that was a subtle message that we should make the best of our current circumstances and not wait for a future situation which may, or may not, change our lives.

You said a whole lot in a very small amount of words. I usually focus on the end of the tracks. I love that you noticed the green verdure.

I spent a lot of time as a kid walking on the rails below our home. I loved thinking about where the train could take me and also loved the spots near it. You captured that double love well in a few words.

Thank you, Elizabeth. I also spent a part of my child living in a house near a railroad. We loved standing under the bridge and listening to the train rattling overhead.
