Dunvegan castle and garden

Last year August, my family and I visited York and Scotland. One of the most lovely places we toured was Dunvegan Castle and garden on the Isle of Skye.

      3. I must be honest, Liz. I had my eyes closed through the whole ending. People were so cruel. Mind you looking at what is happening now in our neighbouring Mozambique, not much has changed.

      2. I researched what I had to see in advance and headed straight for them. I did the same when we visited the British Museum. I had my 10 things list and made sure we saw them.

    1. It rains all the time in the UK, Liz. We have had days of rain during every trip. You just have to put on your Wellington boots and rain jacket and get on with your list of places to visit. Next week I’m going to share my Bronte Museum doors.

    1. My pleasure, Tandy. I know you have visited Skye. We tried to have lunch at a tiny eatery you recommended, but it wasn’t big enough for my family. We ended up finding an amazing vegan restaurant in the middle of nowhere.

  11. Since I’ve never been to that part of the world, I especially enjoyed the photos. In fact, I’ve never seen a castle in person before. I’m reminded of how we can take things for granted where we live. When people come to visit us, we take them to the ocean (two miles away) and to see our giant redwood trees (practically in our backyard).

    1. Well, Diana. It has rained at least half of the time on every trip we have made to the UK, so I doubt you will escape a bit of rain. Go prepared and then it won’t bother you. We did most of our touring last year in the rain.
