I am over at The Showers of Blessings blog this morning with the first post in my While the Bombs Fell book tour. This post is about how my mother and I chose the title of this book. Miriam has a lovely blog and shares beautiful photographs and poetry. Do go over and have a look around.

Robbie the book sounds awesome and I will download the book from Amazon. Would love to read what everyone went through when the bombs were falling and yes the world did not end but everyone had to work to make ends meet and your mother and every other persons anxiety when the bombs fell. Congratulations.

Hi Jim, well, we may have our own Coronavirus version of a war coming. They way some people are carrying on it could cause a war, both civil and otherwise. Thanks for visiting and commenting.

I love the insight into the title. Between the title and the cover image, you get the clear idea this is as much memoir as history. Excellent.

Hi Jacqui, it is a fictionalised account of my mom’s childhood which is why I didn’t call it a memoir. She could remember parts and I filled in the rest with research and imagination.

Yes, Jacqui. I think the title and the cover give a clear message about this memoir.
