#Poetrychallenge – plan and spend

Don’t do it

Do you believe in

conspiracy theories?

Don’t exhaust your mind

seeking out hidden agendas

and proving the negatives

A gift

When given a gift

don’t diminish its value

by looking for more

than the giver intended

ignoring its true meaning

  1. Excellent take on human nature, Robbie. I ponder on the kind of people who believe in all the conspiracy theories. At some point, we are forced to trust our elected officials, whether we want to or not. Your second Tanka is spot on and what I like to call a poetic truth. ❤

  2. Hi, Robbie! Both Tankas are great. “A Gift” is my favorite, it’s so true. Congratulations on being chosen Poet of the Week! What a great way to start the new week! 😀 xo

  3. Short and sweet! Not that I believe in them, but conspiracy theories have always fascinated me, mostly in the way people make connections from point A to B and their reasoning behind it.
