My review
Annette Rochelle Aben writes the most uplifting and inspirational haikus and short poems. Her joy in the simple pleasures in life shines through in the word sequences she creates. Annette also demonstrates a deep understanding of people and the vagaries and depths of the heart that drive human relationships. There are also amusing insights into everyday life and the rule of nature.
The first poem in this book is very powerful and tells a tale of human love and anger and the strains introduced into turbulent relationships by the introduction of a baby into the mix. This poem is titled Strings and my favourite verse is as follows:
“He poured out his heart
She continues to guard hers
So, they do not speak.”
New view is a wonderful haiku
“Greeting everyday
With eyes closed and mind open
You’ll see so much more”
A lovely little book of poems you can re-visit when you feel the need to be uplifted and enthralled.
Fabulous review, Robbie! I’m about half way through and join you in Annette’s book’s praises.

I too have a new book coming soon entitled “Twilight’s Last Glory” – perhaps in May after the editor finishes with the manuscript.
